An affordable private school education for all Jewish children

The London Community Hebrew Day School is one of the best values in private school education in London, as a quick cost comparison will confirm.

In addition to providing a General Studies curriculum that meets and exceeds the requirements of the Ontario Ministry of Education, students follow an enriching programme of Judaic and Hebrew studies that prepares them to become responsible  citizens  and valuable members  of the Jewish community.

“To live as a Jew in London, Ontario, a child depends on a strong identity. The Day School gave my classmates and me exactly this sense of self, coupled with a secular education that put us ahead of our peers in public schools. Not only were we ready for new academic challenges...but we graduated with a core of Jewish selfhood that made all the difference.”
  - LCHDS alumni, Ya’el Santopinto

LCHDS is committed to providing every Jewish child in London access to a Day School education, regardless of family financial situation. We have provided reduced tuition for many of our students since our founding, and continue to do so.

Inquiries about tuition assistance are kept confidential, and, as a matter of school policy, only the parents and a designated school board member are aware of tuition arrangements.

A modern campus for future generations

In September 2008, the London Community Hebrew Day School moved from 247 Epworth Avenue to a brand new, purpose-built building located on the Jewish Federation Campus and in close proximity to all three London synagogues.

Our new school has modern, fully-equipped classrooms, a library with computer stations, a kitchen, and a large playground. We are also able to use the community room in the adjoining Jewish Community Centre for special assemblies and the gymnasium at nearby Or Shalom Synagogue for phys-ed classes.

TIME FOR REGISTRATION FOR 2018-2019. We welcome regitrations for all grades. Children born in 2014 are  eligible for Kitanim.

FIRST day of school is Tuesday, September 4. The first bell is at 8:40.
